Acoustic Jam
10
It's not too far fetched I feel (I am a
modest guy) to describe Acoustic Jam 10 as a success. Efforts on the
publicity front were rewarded by a paying audience of seventy-three,
who together with the participating musicians, who in general stayed
around to support other performers made the numbers almost full capacity
for the Actors Studio Box on that Saturday night. A succession of rugged individualists paraded
themselves before an enthusiastic audience who were as quiet as mice
until the end of each song, and then really gave it out. great! Eugene brought along only himself and his
guitar and filled the Actors Studio Box to bursting point. Shelley seemed a little coy about her songs which were all tomorrow's hits from Nashville (Shania Twain look out) and a couple of guitarists embellished her efforts on both piano and guitar, accompanying her singing. The songs had that meaningful country feel and were about real experiences and feelings. The two bands, Soma renamed Jimmy and the
Galactic Empire and Flatline There were a few technical hitches but the evening went very well, a lot due to Vig the soundman who worked conscientiously to ensure everyone sounded as good as they could. Thanks so much to you Vig and to Heng the
Actors Studio technical crew |
